SU Make crashes after startup at various intervals

Were did you download from?

Perhaps check your memory ?
https://www.memtest86.com/ has a free edition.

Second get a hard drive test utility from your hard driveā€™s OEM and check the drive.

MikeWayzovski, I downloaded from Sketchup at
https://www.sketchup.com/sketchup/2018/SketchUpPro-en-exe

How did you get SketchUp 2017 Make from that link?

Oops, I copied the wrong link. Sorry!

This one is what I used to download.

ntdll!TppValidateCleanupGroupMember is the last cmd, and thereā€™s a ā€œOutlookServicingā€ before that?
About 10 people have crashed with the same TppValidateCleanupGroupMember call. Tpp is Windows threading pools, and the stacks all look similar. Typically, when itā€™s this infrequent, itā€™s some configuration that a few people have. I typically google the things in that first sentence, but nothing jumps out at me.

Barry, you found the issue for me! Wonderful news!!!

I looked and I indeed had Office 2010 and Office 365 installed on this system.
After uninstalling both of them my SU session is running for > 20 minutes, and there is no procmon events for Office or Outlook.

I suspect if I reinstall Office 365 and then try SU it will continue to workā€¦my guess is there was some conflict on the combined install of Outlook 2010 Home & Business with Office 365 that SU was stumbling into.

Awesome!

Thank you so much for taking a look at my problem!

Best Regards,
ā€¦Patrick

That was a good idea, and I tried out the memtest. It passed.
Thanks,

Yes, indeed, I did reinstall Office 365, and SU is running for > 15 minutes. Yay, I believe this problem is solved by removing Outlook 2010 Home & Business, and any potential conflict it had with the Office 365 installation.

Awesome support from Barry!!!
