When exporting image sequences from File>Export>Animation, transparent PNGs are exporting with black backgrounds. Transparency is selected, sky & background are not active in Styles. Style selection is Construction Documentation. I’ve tried creating a test file, but the issue still occurs.
File>Export>2D Graphic works as expected, successfully exporting transparency. Here’s the info I’ve sent to tech support in hopes of getting this solved, hopefully it’ll answer any preemptive questions in case anyone here can help.
Can you clarify if this is happening on a single model or on all of your models?
All models. It appears to have occurred since updating to the most recent version of SketchUp 2026 (26.1.253). I did not experience this in the previous version 26.1, although I experienced frequent crashes in that version.
Does this happen in a brand new file?
Yes. It has occurred in existing files that were previously fine, and has occurred in brand new files as well.
If it is a single model or only some models, please send me a copy of the model file so that we can do some testing on our end. If the file is too large to email, you may wish to use a sharing service such as Dropbox, Google Drive, or WeTransfer and then send me a link to a shared copy of the file so I can download it directly from that site.
This now appears to occur with all models, as I have tested several along with creating brand new files.
So I can investigate further, please take a screen capture video of the issue that you described.
