SU 2026 and different workspace/same file

Am I missing something here. I was also able to recreate this (bug/feature)

Running SU 2026 opening same file from same location 2 different ways results in 2 different workspaces being presented.

Run SU 2026 via desktop icon. Using Open File from device (from inside the app) my file loads but my workspace doesn’t display as last used, only 2 toolbars loaded and none of my custom trays load.

Navigate to the same file via Windows Explorer and double-click the file. SU 2026 loads and opens the file. Workspace presents as expected, all toolbars are loaded and my custom Trays display in same configuration as last used.

Do not double click for your second test - right click > open in… pick from the list.

When you launch 26 start a blank file. Does your workspace load properly?

When you ran the installer for 26 did you Run as Administrator?

Is it possible on windows to have the same app loaded in 2 locations?

Is it possible that when you double click on the model file SketchUp 2025 is opening instead of 2026?

What you describe with the toolbars in 2026 sounds like incorrect SketchUp installation so Windows hasn’t granted SketchUp the permission to write the required .jso files.
