previously, when you set the material view to medium, you would still have the folder names. now, nada. the folders are only visible in large and extra large view.

I went back through all versions to SketchUp 2017 and none of them show names below “Large Thumbnails”.
I would suggest reassigning this topic to the Feature Request category, and add a case for names always showing. Or perhaps a user option in the Details menu to toggle names on/off ?.
I will surmise that the thumbnail settings were more aimed at the material thumbnails than the folder icons.
thanks Dan. you’ll note in the image - the medium size is showing blank. when using an earlier version of 2025 and 2024 the setting was medium and there were labels. - otherwise i would not have raised this as a bug.
however, i trust your assessment so this should definitely be a feature request.
