Strange shadow geometry showing up when a section is active

I’m running into some strange shadow geometry when I cut a particular mesh the section tool.

When the section cut is off, the shadow geometry goes away.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Turn off fast shadow may solve the issue.

SketchUp 2026.2 Shadow Issues – Shadow Scattering & Cast Shadow Behavior Changes

Confirmed. Disable Fast Shadows now solved all the problems. But now this option turn on as default, then the user must learn how to turn it off for their workflow still works as expected. [IMG20260524171128]
