I get these lines sometimes and Im not sure how to get rid of them. Anyone have a suggestion?
Post the file so others can open it and examine. Best guess is that your surface is actually not flat but triangulated, a collection of many individual non complainer surfaces. Turn on hidden geometry to see the divisions in your “flat” surface.

I agree. The spiderwebs of light lines look like typical triangulation from when things are not quite precisely coplanar. You could try setting monochrome mode (so the texture won’t obscure things), turning on view hidden geometry, and then erasing some of the edges to see whether that causes the face or portions of the face to disappear. If so, that’s a sure sign that things are not coplanar.
