SpaceMouse support in SketchUp Web

@duanekemp A couple questions, if you have a second:
-What version of OS are you using?
-Are you using the SpaceMouse or the SpaceMouse Pro (or something else?)
-Dumb question, but I assume you are using SketchUp Web on Chrome?

@doughpat,

  1. MacOS Sonoma 14.6
  2. SpaceMouse (old)
  3. SketchUp Pro 2024 on a MacBook Pro M2 Max chip

Side note: I don’t use chrome as I prefer Firefox. But, only use SketchUp Web for testing occasionally when FB group members have questions or for other testing. I much prefer the pro versions.

Back in April, 2024, this was announced: " We are excited to announce the public availability of our 3DxWare 10 driver for macOS. Please visit our website to download the latest release of Choose your Country or Region • 3Dconnexion UK"

Hope that works for you.

@duanekemp Thanks for the information. Unfortunately you are using SketchUp Pro…the problem I’m having is with Sketchup for web. I think the big problem is that its going “through” (or maybe ‘operating within’ is a better way to phrase it) a web browser.

I went to try the web version, and tried to update the driver, to only have issues. Now I can’t get the driver installed. Waiting for support to reply.
However, once installed again, I’ll test the web version on Chrome and Firefox and see what happens.

@doughpat (Ryan),
I was able to get a version working, though I’m still having issues with the installer package getting stuck. Technical service is trying to help identify what the problem is. However, I just now tested the driver with Firefox SU for Web and the Space Navigator works. It feels a bit clunky or slow… but, it worked.
