Snapping a group's face to another

I’m trying to align two faces right now and I want the face of the group to sit on the face of another group, how do I align them properly without there being a weird angle of one of the groups, and the group I am trying to align the other one on is a cube but its on an angle.

It would help if you share your model so we can see what you are working with.

Your profile indicates you are using SketchUp Desktop but you posted in the SketchUp for Schools (the web -based version for school children) category. Which version are you really using? If the Desktop version you could add snaps to the objects to make aligning them easier. You could also use components instead of groups and give the component you are placing gluing properties so it aligns to a face in another object.

Sorry for the confusion. I have the 2025 vision of SketchUp downloaded on my computer. I tried adding snaps but I don’t understand how the tool works, I will try turning them into components and see if that helps me.

This is what I’m working with.

Thank you

Maybe take some time to have a look at the videos the SketchUp team did on using Snaps.

I would suggest turning off AO while you are modeling to avoid loading up the graphics card.

Thank you so much for the help. I will look at the video; I only have AO on because I’m using the shadows to get a part of my idea out. I have an actual model of this; it’s just I’m trying to recreate it in SketchUp so I can create my plans for it in AutoCAD. Thank you again, might post again if I still need help.
