A dovetailed jewelry chest designed by Mike Pekovich. The footprint is 9 in. by 13 in. I still need to model the hemp twine handles on the chest and then add textures. Contemplating how I want to model the handles.
I might have shared this coffin maker’s bench before. I pulled it out with the intent of learning an extension but got sidetracked because it needed textures first. “Rendered” in SketchUp 2026. No AI used in the making of this model.
I was contacted by someone who is looking for an affordable option for a wider footplate for her wheelchair. It was simple matter to modify something I had already modeled and create a file to upload to Send Cut Send. She can get two of them in HDPE for about half the price of one from a DME supplier and probably get them in less than half the time.

I was asked by another woodworker for an idea. He wants to cut a series of parallel grooves with equal spacing in some large panels. This is the result of my sketching the second idea that came to mind. The first involved using the table saw but he said the panels are too large for that.
Movable stops locate the track or a fence. Gauge blocks increment the track/fence for each successive cut.
Is this a one time project or something that will be repeated? I am thinking maybe a jig working with a router.
I don’t know how many times he’d use it. I didn’t ask. I know he has four panels to do. It could certainly be used with a router and a fence instead of a track saw. I just used the track because I already had the component. If it’s a one time use sort of thing I would make it a temporary setup on my bench using scraps and only temporarily anchoring the T-tracks. He can do what he wants but I generally make jigs and fixtures from scrap and don’t keep them. Not enough wall space in my shop for them.
An aluminum gutter and gutter bracket done for a client. Kept simple and light to make it easy to use however the client wants to use it.
My wife and I recently installed gutter guards. The guards got fastened with self-driving screws through the folded over, outer edge to the gutters. Quite a bit of up and down ladders for two in their early 70s.
