I’m sorry I am no expert and is still new to using this software but please help me.
I’ve already told you what to do: be patient for the file to load and open (this means not clicking on the screen during this time), and after it opens, delete all the furniture, vegetation and accessories you inserted, then use Purge command.

it does not open on my end. it says failed to open document
Install SketchUp 2026 (latest) and see if that version opens it for you.

Another way to keep your model small, especially when downloading things from the 3D warehouse, is to save what you want to download from the 3D warehouse as a separate SketchUp file and then import any of the 3D assets by using the plug-in Universal Importer. It allows you to reduce the edges and faces of each of the components to something that is manageable on your specific machine. Take a look at the plug-in below on sketchucation.com.
