I’m having an issue with the Skimp extension in SketchUp.
Skimp appears in the Extension Manager, but it stays disabled. When I try to switch it from Disabled to Enabled, the change does not seem to apply properly. The “Apply Changes” button is either greyed out or does not reflect the change.
I have already tried the following:
Uninstalled Skimp
Reinstalled Skimp
Restarted SketchUp
Restarted my computer
Checked the Extension Manager loading policy
Set the loading policy to “Unrestricted”
Tried enabling/disabling Skimp again
However, Skimp still does not work.
In the Extension Manager, Skimp shows:
Version: 2.0.4
Author: mind.sight.studios
Signature Information: Missing valid signature
Other extensions are working, but Skimp does not become usable.
My environment:
OS: Windows 11
SketchUp version:26.1.256.64bit
Skimp version: 2.0.4
I’ve attached screenshots of the Extension Manager.
Has anyone experienced this issue before?
Is there anything else I should check, such as a corrupted extension folder, permissions issue, signature issue, or compatibility problem?
yes, there was a bug with the previous patch (26,1) for non english versions of sketchup, the extension manager would revert to english, and no icons would show.
and off course, as you mentioned, the EM was basically not working.
Thank you very much for your quick reply and helpful advice!
I updated SketchUp from version 26.1 to 26.2, and the issue is now resolved.
Skimp can now be enabled correctly, and the Extension Manager seems to be working properly again.
It looks like this was related to the SketchUp 26.1 Extension Manager bug.
