SketchupPro 2018 Importing Topography

Hi!

I want to import the topography for a site from google. I used to be able to do this in SkpPro16… looking at upgrading now…

Does Sketchup Pro 2018 have this capacity?

Yes. The service provider has changed after Google pulled the plug from third party access to its data. That is why the old Google-based system in older versions of SketchUp has stopped working. The data comes from Digital Globe in SketchUp Pro 2017 and 2018.

Thanks! So does that mean that Digital Globe WILL import topography in 2018? I am happy to upgrade but that is the only reason i need to do so at this point. Thanks for answering me!!!1

Yes. The data might still be missing in some parts of the globe, though (recent reports tell that regions with more than 60 deg latitude that were omitted are now working).
