SketchUp text labels / leader text visibility over geometry?

Folks, is there any way of placing the leader text labels in a way that allows them to be visible on top of coincidental geometry?

These labels are generated using an extension (Gradient tools) though other extensions also generate similar label formats.

With the native dimension tool you can set them to be parallel to the edge you’re measuring. You’ll have more control of dimensions on layout.
