Sketchup Pro installation issue

I have a Sketchup Pro license but when I go to install it will only give me access to standard Sketchup

I have asked for help from SketchUp 4 times but get no where

What do you mean by “standard SketchUp”? There is only one desktop version of SketchUp. Pro is a subscription level.

When i go to the install site it starts out that i have the SketchUp pro license but when i go to down load it just says Sketchup not Sketchup Pro

Again, Pro is a subscription or license level. There is only one desktop version of SketchUp. It’s the same SketchUp version if you have a Studio subscription, too.

So my older versions actually say Sketchup Pro on the icon 2026 does not

Your older version must be quite old since that was changed some years ago.

OK it says it on 2021 and 2022

So i guess it changed

Thank you for your help

It would have been nice if the people form Sketchup told me that.

It would but they may not have understood what you were asking. I’ve seen this confusion previously and guessed from what you wrote what you meant.

It’s entirely possible that I’ve been using SketchUp longer than the customer service person has been alive.

Thanks again!

I thought i had full functionality but was not sure since it didn’t say Pro

So of the new rendering capabilities didn’t seem to work the say as the tutorials

That is why i was concerned

They should if your graphics card is able to handle it.

Make sure you installed SketchUp correctly. That’s done by right clicking on the installer and selecting Run as administrator. If you didn’t do that, do it now and choose the Repair option when it is presented.

In Window>Preferences>Graphics make sure the New Graphics Engine is selected and it shows your nVidia graphics card is being used.

Will do

Thanks

Also search the Nvidia website for the newest driver for your graphics card. My search found quite recent drivers, released this month. Many modelers prefer the Studio drivers.

FWIW, the rendering appearance depends also on the style and the choice of environment.

For example, this is with the normal Shaded with Texture.

With Photoreal textures but no Environment:

And adding an environment and shadows controlled by it.
