Any idea how to make two cars look like they are crashing with pieces flying everywhere in detail ?
Animated? Not that I’m aware of in SketchUp. I thing there are tools in other software for that, but not really my area of expertise.
Indeed, while it is possible to do a lot with SketchUp and using extensions you can get great results that are pretty close to what you are looking for, it would be a lot of work to create in just SketchUp. To do this sort of thing you may want to consider using something like a game engine or animation program as a supplement depending on what your end result is going to be used for. If you could share a bit about what your end result is going to be used for, that may help the community figure out what they can recommend trying.
@CaseyG what about without extensions ?
What about the MS Physics extension?
I meant can u do it without any extensions like is tht evn posble ?
I think it is compatible with SketchUp 2015 or 2018 and hasn’t been updated for current versions.
It’s almost if not impossible to do that on sketchup, not even with extensions. Blender is the software you’re looking for.
whts wrng wth yr keybrd? mssng sme vwls?
may
s lrgs tlst + tgs + scns
And repr yr kbrd first
It’s probably the operating system and graphics card they listed in their forum profile that causes the missing letters. ![]()
You can create some pretty neat explosions with MSPhysics ![]()
There are a lot of softwares that could do what you want like Maya, Cinema 4D, Houdini… but blender is free and awesome.
@ateliernab I like to abbreviate
great. a majority of us are not native english speakers. yet we make an effort to all converse in correct english.
so please stop abbreviating.
sinn jpeux aussi simplmnt repndre pareil ms en fr. plu simpl pr moi.
okay also what does this mean ?
Sinon je peux aussi simplement répondre pareil mais en français. Plus simple pour moi.
It means that if he wrote in French but left out a lot of letters it would be difficult to read.
it means, in my native french, that I too can answer using abbreviations, making my messages unintelligible to any non well-rounded french speaker. ![]()
Hmmmm. not difficult enough I see

O Mice N Man
Wee, sleekit, cow’rin, tim’rous beastie,
O, what a panic’s in thy breastie!
Thou need na start awa sae hasty,
Wi’ bickering brattle!
I wad be laith to rin an’ chase thee,
Wi’ murd’ring pattle!
I’m truly sorry man’s dominion,
Has broken nature’s social union,
An’ justifies that ill opinion,
Which makes thee startle
At me, thy poor, earth-born companion,
An’ fellow-mortal!
I doubt na, whiles, but thou may thieve;
What then? poor beastie, thou maun live!
A daimen icker in a thrave
‘S a sma’ request;
I’ll get a blessin wi’ the lave,
An’ never miss’t!
Thy wee bit housie, too, in ruin!
It’s silly wa’s the win’s are strewin!
An’ naething, now, to big a new ane,
O’ foggage green!
An’ bleak December’s winds ensuin,
Baith snell an’ keen!
Thou saw the fields laid bare an’ waste,
An’ weary winter comin fast,
An’ cozie here, beneath the blast,
Thou thought to dwell—
Till crash! the cruel coulter past
Out thro’ thy cell.
That wee bit heap o’ leaves an’ stibble,
Has cost thee mony a weary nibble!
Now thou’s turn’d out, for a’ thy trouble,
But house or hald,
To thole the winter’s sleety dribble,
An’ cranreuch cauld!
But, Mousie, thou art no thy lane,
In proving foresight may be vain;
The best-laid schemes o’ mice an’ men
Gang aft agley,
An’ lea’e us nought but grief an’ pain,
For promis’d joy!
Still thou art blest, compar’d wi’ me
The present only toucheth thee:
But, Och! I backward cast my e’e.
On prospects drear!
An’ forward, tho’ I canna see,
I guess an’ fear!
