Sketchup import far from origin point

I am trying to import a cad plan onto sketchup but it is importing somewhere very far on the blue axis. Can anybody please help?

After you import it use Scale to flatten it most of the way. Then open the component and move stuff down so it’s totally flat. Should take you a few seconds to do.

I found the layout. But I am unable to scale it. Maybe if I move it down to the origin point?

You should be able to select it and then get the Scale tool.
scale

Whoa! Won’t scale in mine but I’ll try again. Can you please share the scaled file if possible?

Must be something you’re not doing correctly.

I fixed the incorrect tag usage, too. There’s still some stuff at a long distance from the rest of the geometry you’ll probably need to fix as well as the size. I imported using Meters because there’s no information about what the units should be.

BTW, please fix your forum profile. SketchUp for Schools is a web-based and for young school children.

Yes I’ll fix the file. The file was drafted in mm.
Fixed the profile. Thank you so much.

You can scale it down.

Looks like you missed hitting the Save button. When you redo it, also put in the correct info for the graphics card.
