Sketchup Free file has disappeared! 😖

Longtime SKP user, but newly retired so using he SKP free, beginning yesterday. Worked many hours on model and now cannot find the file. I named it and it was saved because I worked on it today, too. Then…poof. The file name is still there and it says “0” bytes. I did not delete it. Where do I look? Very frustrated!

Go to your Trimble Connect page at Trimble Connect Web and find the file. Look for file there. Check for an earlier version of the file.

BTW, please correct your forum profile. It shows you are using 2023 Desktop which wouldn’t be the case if you are using SketchUp Free.

Hmm. At Trimble Connect, it shows the file name just as I saved it; however, there is no file. It says “0 bytes” and that there is nothing in the file. I’ve clicked, double-clicked, searched, and cursed. I am logged in with correct email address. Have cleared caches, used a different browser, and restarted computer. What would you suggest?

Are you able to access and earlier version of the model in the revision history? You can access this by clicking on the menu next to the thumbnail in the home screen. For example…

Hover over one of the revisions on the far right side to unveil the “show in editor” button. Click on that to open the earlier version.
