Sketchup file got corrupted

I was working on a Sketchup file when suddenly my PC and onedrive (where the file was saved), since then the skecthup file shows “failed to open document”.

When first time this happened, i restored one of the previous versions of the file and worked on it yesterday and saved it. Today again same thing happened (though the system didnt crash today).

I tried many things but none of it worked.
List of things I tried:

  1. I tried copying the file else where on local disk rather than onedrive.
  2. I recovered the backup file.
  3. i copied the backup file elsewhere and then recovered.
  4. I tried opening it in macbook.

None of it worked.

Can someone help me with this.

I have attached the link to the files.(both original skp and the backup for it skb file)

hey,

on google drive, you need to give access to the file

Time to upgrade to the current version of SketchUp. Your file, although sluggish, opens fine in SketchUp 2026. Once you get a current subscription and upgrade, I would suggest you clean up the file and get it back under control. Fix incorrect tag usage

and purge unused stuff,

That will make it easier to manage. Make sure you are saving the file to an internal drive and also save a backup to Trimble Connect.
