Sketchup 2026 issues

I have installed 2026 and I have noticed that viewports, in Layout, don’t allow transparency. I have tried moving back, front, etc and it is still an issue. There is also a border around once viewport.

Snapping is inconsistent. I have done a Gemini search and all suggestions do not help.

Please help.

Is the background turned on for the viewport on top? What style are you using? What rendering type?

It would help if you share the LO file so we can see what you are working with.

Please update your forum profile. It says you’re still using 2024.

Thank you so much for your response, it is greatly appreciated.

I have attached LO and SK-files.

The issues that I have noticed:

  1. Styles keep changing in SK. I am using “Construction Documentation Style” but it occasionally switches to another style.
  2. Viewports not being transparent.
  3. Snapping is inconsistant. The Ground Floor viewport snaps to the internal walls but won’t snap to the freestanding wall to the left of the viewport. This was occurring before downloading 2026.
