Quick question… I have Sketchup Make 2017 and I like it a lot. If I try the trial subscription of Sketchup Pro 2019, will it overwrite my Sketchup Make 2017?

No. Each version of SketchUp installs separately without affecting others.
But be aware that SU Pro 2019 will NOT revert to a Make version - 2017 is the last Make version there will be.
Sketchup Free on the web is equivalent to Make in many ways, with the very important exception that is does not support ANY plugins. What you see is ALL you can get, at least for now and the past couple of years.
