The .skp file failed to open when double-clicked in Windows Explorer but worked if I go File > Open > Select the same file in SketchUp 2025.
Unsure what causes it, I think the Chinese characters in the file path might be the problem, but it shouldn’t be…

This is a common issue encountered by many Chinese users, not only with SketchUp but also with numerous plugins and other software, which may encounter errors due to this reason. I have always recommended that they avoid using Chinese characters for file names and paths, as this is the best solution.
