We are occasionally prompted to “Sign In” to SketchUp. But when I click the Sign In button, my default browser (Edge) is taken to the sign-in page where the right side of the page is blank except for the Trimble heading. That is, there is no place for me to provide my sign-in credentials. So, signing in is impossible.
The solution–I found out after much confusion and frustration–is to disable my ad blocker and reload the page. All of the frustration and confusion could be avoided if Trimble would announce that my ad blocker is on and I must turn it off. Other websites do this. Trimble should do it, too.
Thanks for reporting your findings. If you search for ad blocker in the forum you will see that it’s a common cause for the right side of the page being blank:
Hopefully someone else with the problem will see your post, and solve the problem quicker.
I don’t use ad blockers, but I think you can set them to white-list certain sites. If you can you could add sketchup.com and trimble.com, and still keep the ad blocker turned on.
Thank you for your response. I’ve added your suggestions to my ad blocker’s whitelist. Despite that, I still urge Trimble to put up a warning whenever it detects an ad blocker on its sign-in page.
