Several scale-related suggestions (Replace Component, Resize Group/Component)

When using “Replace Selected” to replace components in the model, if the saved component is not scaled properly, the replaced item will also be out of scale. I know that saving components with the proper scale is a good idea, but that still doesn’t prevent the issue with the “target” components being the wrong scale. The replacement comes in either microscopic or huge.

If there was a way to “Replace Selected And Keep Selected’s Scale And Orientation”, that would be amazing.

Same request for the Scale tool - if there was a way to “Keep Texture Scale While Resizing”, it would also be a huge time saver. As of now, the only 2 ways I can think of to avoid distorting the texture are:

1.) Clicking into the object and using Push/Pull to drag a face.
2.) Scale (with distortion), Explode, Group. That resets the texture to the right alignment.

But both are more time-consuming than an option to Scale Without Distortion.

What’s wrong with scaling the definition of the target component? In fact you should make sure all components in the model have the correct scale. Then there’ll be no problems. If you ensure the definitions are scaled correctly you won’t have any issues with textures being scaled incoorectly, either.

Just scale the definition of the selected before replacing it. You could use Curic Scale Definition to go through the entire model and scale the definitions.
