Set Typography Options as default for Linear Tool?

Dear Community,

Attempting to set they Typography options for numbers in Linear tool by selecting that tool and then setting the options (Fonts window, then Aa for Typography) fails. The set options are being ignored and apparently can only be set afterwards (while font style and size can be set in advance). Is there a way to set them as default?

What “Linear tool” are you referring to?

Are you creating a custom template with your desired font settings?

I could try and create a custom template, but presently I was but trying to simply set this tool to apply the typography settings I choose.

You need to have the appropriate tool selected before you make the settings for Font and other features. They can be different for Linear dimensions and Angular dimensions. Once you’ve made those settings with the tool active, subsequent dimensions will have those settings.

The same applies to Text and Labels.

If you don’t want to go through this every time you start a new project, make the settings for your own template and save it for later use.

That is what I thought. And it works with font size and type. But it doesn’t work with these:

I don’t use Mac and thus don’t have access to those settings but I expect LayOut doesn’t save those choices. That would make LayOut too much operating system specific.
