Sending a drawing to layout

hi sketchup world

I’ve been drawing on Sketchup for a couple years. just as a hobbie. I would like to send a part of a drawing to layout (A screen door) , to use it as a building plan. I have never used layout , and i am not sure where to begin. I’ve looked around youtube but i can’t seem to find usable information.

I’m using the newest version of Sketchup Pro

also, i’ve been trying to upload a link for the drawing i’m refering to.

thanks

Copy the screen door to a new SketchUp model file and create the scenes you need to show in your building plan. Save that and send it to LayOut.

You could go through the instructional materials for LayOut here: SketchUp Learning Center

What operating system? Please correct your forum profile.

If it’s larger than 16 Mb upload it to a file sharing service like DropBox and share the link.

Go to Learning Center, sign/log in and search for Layout. There will be a drop-down list of classes to choose from.

thanks Dave . I’m going top work on these things.

If you want an example to look at share the .skp file of your screen door.

thanks RLGL, ill check out the learning center

Here’s a quick example of one way to make it. Or at least two pages.
