Creating circles or radii sometimes results in a segmented curve which cannot be selected as a continuous entity or dimensioned as a unit. How and why are some circles or radii can be addressed as continuous and some not?
Thanks,

I’ve seen that once in a great while with very small radius arcs. Not sure why it happens but when it does, I don’t waste a lot of time on it. I just select the edges and recreate the arc with [Lines2Arc](https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=nilines2arc).

What version of SketchUp are you using? Please complete your profile. Thanks.

If you don’t care about the arc being considered an arc, you can use Weld, TIG-Weld, or Eneroth Auto-Weld.

Dave,

Thanks for your reply. WIll complete profile. Am using Sketchup make 2017. Have 3 arc options: Center and 2 points; Point to point with a bulge; and 3 points. Have tried superimposing the other options with the same segmented result. Maybe I need to enlarge the model, add the arc and shrink. Not sure about Lines2arc.

Thanks,

Jim B

Maybe you could share a SketchUp model file that shows it. I didn’t say anything about drawing the arc again. I just convert the set of exploded edges back into an arc with the extension I mentioned.

DaveR,
Thanks for the help, I’ll try the extension. I was not aware of it.
