Sections in sketchup

I appreciate SketchUp developers. Your software’s approach to design is cool and though SKP isn’t BIM, it’s still quite competitive on the field. One of my major concern is sections in SketchUp. SketchUp section method is…forgive me…quite primitive. I wish we could have something quite close to Curic in native SKP. Apart from section fills, there should also be hatches and in addition to line weights, line colors by material or tags. This is of course achievable by stacking viewports in LayOut, but that’s a cumbersome process…thanks guys!

I also want to add that allowing the user to control tags in Layout is such a superb upgrade, and i think you guys could even go further by allowing us to control styles too not just change them but tweak them just like in SKP. So we wouldn’t have to always go back and forth to achieve desired print view.

BIM is not a tool or a feature of a software, it’s a modeling methodology and it is possible to implement this methodology with sketchup.

What do you mean with that, you can change styles directly from layout, you can even control line weight and color if you’ve worked well with the tags.
