Section planes are mysteriously moving?

I’m not sure how this is happening but some of my section panes move on me. I notice it only happens when I place section panes inside a group - if I leave them outside of the group (my building) they stay in place. But sometimes my landscape is large and it’s hard to precisely put a section plane where I want it in my building when I’m zoomed way out to where the whole section plane is visible. I always hide the section planes when working in my model and even tried putting them on a layer that I make sure is off. But I’ll go to layout, update my drawings and find some of my building sections not displaying the originally placed section plane then go back to my model, make my section planes visible and then find them rotated or moved.

What I am I doing to be moving my section planes unknowingly?

Problems with active section cut choices not being reflected in scenes and as a result in Layout files is a more common workflow problem usually stemming from failure to update styles or scenes. But section planes actually moving their position or rotating? Thats odd, do you have any active extension that might be altering this? I think to diagnose your situation or give you any relevant advice you will need to post your .skp file here, or a link to it on a sharing service if it’s too large.
