Justin posted about this in December- I wasn’t able to reply because the discussion was closed, so I’m starting a new one. Random parts of the section fill aren’t showing up, highlighted in red here:
Untagged visibility is on (Colin’s solution) and I tried messing with Ortho/PP as Dave R suggested; both didn’t work. There is also a Section cut fill with missing section cuts SketchUp topic where ChrisDizon suggested to change the component axis. I tried that with no luck. Jimmy on that same topic suggested changing viewport window size (didn’t work), and the final thing he suggested that worked was switching from Hybrid to Raster (but I need this page to be Hybrid).
I doubt you’ll find a fix. This sometimes happens in my complex framing models where 2-3 small pieces are not filled. It could be a solid issue (the items are not solid), or a placement issue (something is just a mm off plane or touching another surface at the cut) - but it more likely is a rendering issue in Hybrid / Vector in LayOut.
I don’t bother too much diagnosing this anymore… I have in my template my presentation style for drawings where my back face color is the same as my section fill. This will make any ‘cut open’ objects / components appear correctly even if LayOut cannot render the scene correctly.
Hopefully the developers will sort out the issue but in the meantime, you might try using TIG’s SectionCutFace to create “real” faces at section cuts. The resulting faces can be given textures or colors and you aren’t limited to just one material for a section cut.
The section fill on the left was done using SectionCut Face.
