I’m on SketchUp Pro on a Mac, and occasionally I have an issue where a scene name in a SKP file changes without me doing anything, and it changes to match a scene name in a recent file. It just happened in two files I was working on (only one open at a time) where the last scene on the first file changed, without me doing anything or having the Scene editor tab open, to a different name (I don’t recall what). I corrected the scene name, proceeded to work in that file for 10 minutes or so and closed that file. Then I opened a different file with the first scene labeled “FN”… after working in that file for about 10 minutes, the first scene changed to “4bM” which is the name of the last scene in the prior file that I had to correct. Anyone else fighting this battle? This isn’t the first time it has happened, but is the first time I’ve confirmed it didn’t matter if the files weren’t open at the same time, and decided to post here about it.
Are you making sure you click back into the model space after you name a scene? On Mac the scene and tags (and likely entity info and elsewhere) has a bug where the focus does not automatically shift back to the modeling space - so I get scene names like q,r,m, etc…. All from me entering commands before I realize the cursor is typing away in the Scene name or Tag name area…
I’ve had what you describe happen as well, but this was a scene name that was unique to one file show up in another file, when they both weren’t open at the same time.
