Sandbox Stamp tool, how to change the color of this white ditch beside the road

Hello,

This will definitely be my last Sandbox question.

I used Stamp to create this road with a white ditch on either side. How do I change the colour of the white ditches?

Here is your file, where I have selected the ditches and made them be red.

Sample 4 red path.skp (593.7 KB)

At the moment the model is set to show hidden geometry. Double-click into the group, until you can select a single red face. Right-click on a red face, and choose Select/All with Same Material:

That will select all of the red parts. Now choose the material you want to use for the ditches, from the Colors palette. Click on the selected red parts, and they all will change to be the ditch texture.

After that you can go to the View menu and turn off Hidden Geometry.

First question I would ask is, what did you do to create the white area, and if it is wrong why not go back?

The solution I gave was because the white area is Default material, meaning it was the only part not coloured in. It looks like you can’t select all with same material for the case where it’s the Default material, I will request if that could be added.

For me to make the ditch be red, I had to use the lasso tool to select the existing ditch. That’s another thing that would be useful, there isn’t a deselect all with same material, which would have let me select only the ditch by deselecting the other bits.
