Revit Import Issues

I’m having constant problems importing Revit files.

Machine is an intel i7 13th gen with 32GB RAM and a 3070

Our workflow involves importing surveyed buildings from our Architects and converting them on the PC then working on them on our Macs; not that that matters. The success rate on the imports from our 5 different architects is about 2/3 successful

I have tried failing files in 2024 and 2025 but the machine gets to about 10%, sits there for ~3min and then I get an “Import Failed” dialogue box

I was hopeful whit 2025 as one of the failed files brought a dialogue asking which Revit scene I wanted to import but after choosing it then failed again.

The refit files are typically 1.5GB and when they do convert they are a joy to use SketchUp

If you can share the failing files with us privately we can take a look and see if we can do a fix for a future version.
