Revealing Layers

Hi Everyone,

I am in the middle of designing this monster assembly table and I want do something that looks like the attached picture, the mage shows a torsion box assembly top and it shows segments of all the materials used in its construction I too would like to display a diagram in the same way, but I am unsure as to how to do it.

I would make the copies of the hardboard top and top skin components unique to separate them from the ones in your assembled version of the model. Then use Fredo’s Bezier Curve tool to draw the shallow S-curves to separate the top face. Finally Push/Pull on the waste side to get rid of what you don’t want to see. I’ve done this a number of times, I’ll see if I can find an example.

I decided to make an example based on your screen grab.

Hi Dave I am having a hard time keeping the Bézier curve flat to the mdf panel … I did the skin easy but the curve is raising when setting the second curve
