There’s nothing wrong with the version that exists in the EW now. The author has shuffled off this mortal coil so he’s not going to be providing any updates to it. Assaf is making some changes/adding small features to it which will make it a new version. @slbaumgartner investigated taking over the support and updating of the extension but was told by someone on the EW team that wasn’t an option. It would be good if you can do something to allow the updated version to be posted. When Assaf gets it working correctly some of his additions will be handy.
It might be worth considering some policy regarding what happens to extensions after their authors move on in whatever way they move on.
