I was working on a project and assumed it would automatically save. The next day it’s gone. Is there a way to recover it? 'Im Using sketchup free for schools and a few months ago projects all used to save

So then you aren’t using 2024 Desktop as your forum profile indicates? Please correct your forum profile with the right information.
Are you signing in with the same credentials you used yesterday?
Depending on the exact situation the file may not automatically save or it might not be saved with the latest changes. Are you opening it in SketchUp for Schools or are you using SketchUp Free which is web based but not tied to SketchUp for Schools?

Where had you saved the model when you last saved it?
OK. So fix your forum profile. Bogus information just cause confusion.
I didn’t press save because in the past it would automatically save when i closed the tab and I didn’t think to do it this time
You would have needed to save it at least once to give it a name.
