V-Ray Cosmos uses proxies, or placeholder geometry in order to keep the SketchUp model nice and light. Have you tried rendering the component? Does it render correctly? Reinstall V-ray, right click on the installer > Run as administrator and test again with another model downloaded (new) from Cosmos.
