I have been using eViacam for many years with great satisfaction. It’s a mouse emulator that uses the webcam as a pointer, essential for people with disabilities. I am tetraplegic, but for the past ten years, I have been designing with all previous versions without any issues.
However, a few days ago, the new 2026 version was released, and I encountered a serious problem — the double-click function doesn’t work, which means I cannot use SketchUp 2026. I’m currently working with the 2025 version instead.
I also tested it on another computer and experienced the same issue. It’s clearly a problem with eViacam, which fails to perform the double-click action with the new 2026 graphics engine.
I also tried both your “classic” and “advanced” modes, but neither works. I have contacted eViacam support and am waiting for their reply, but I’m also asking if you are aware of this issue. Thank you.
@colin Might be the person who could ask around if Qt (or something else) has affected eViacom. There’s a GitHub repository available for it. Maybe there’s a fix the SketchUp side could implement?
If you find the github repository, please post the link, thanks

Just as a guess…: the way Qt ‘captures’ cursor focus has changed (with panels/trays, html dialogs) and this is now conflicting with the ‘eye-tracking’ cursor ‘capture’ that eViaCam uses. The real diagnosis and fix might not be that difficult for those ‘in the know’. It’s conceivable that the XR team might have insight here… but we’ll see if Collin can provide any insight here before pinging everybody and their brother.
