Sharing out a SU26 model and my client’s iPad running SU Go 7.2.1 doesn’t see the file as a Sketchup file. I couldn’t find a way to back grade the SU model… gemini says the two apps are not compatible. Any suggestions?
Share the .skp file so we can see what you are sharing with your client.

The file you shared opens fine in the 7.2.1 iPad version as well as the web version of SketchUp. Is it possible you shared the backup copy of the file with your client? How did you share the file with the client?
That doesn’t make any sense, though.
@alexwhite Would you happen to know if your client has an app called uMake installed? If they do, this app has been known to cause issues with SketchUp files. If that is the case, the client can use the “Open From” option in the SketchUp iPad app and navigate directly to the file location for opening. Alternatively uninstalling the uMake app would restore file association to the SketchUp app.
Thanks for the quick response. When I visited them today, the document they had downloaded from gmail was a lot smaller, like 84kb. I’ve sent them another copy to test. If that fails, I’ll inquire about the uMake app and update forum either way…. I’ve been a SU user since v1 and this really feels like the early forum days – thanks!

Your model isn’t very large but 84 Kb is pretty suspicious. I hope they can open the new copy you sent.
Another option would be to upload it to your Trimble Connect storage and then share the file with them via TC.
