# Problem creating guidelines

When I use the tape measure tool to create a guideline, the line shows until I click the tool, then disappears. This started suddenly last night and I’ve done all the usual things like re-booting without success. Unhide doesn’t work either.

have you switched the visibility of the guidelines on.
