Plotter in a printer shop - scale 1:1 questions

Hello
I’m sorry if this question was already posted.
I need some advice…
I made a 2D plan of a staircase and I want to print it on a large plotter in a printer shop.
Could you please tell me the best approach to generate a pdf file for the printer shop ?
How can I be sure that the size of the pdf will fit to the plotter size ?
Is there a configuration to apply direclty on my drawing in sketchup ?
Of course, the parts on my drawing are not larger than the plotter paper size (+/- 1 meter) (see attached file)
I read that layout must be used for this kind of operation but it generates a wrong pdf size.
The export as pdf in sketchup shows better results but the size of the stair in the pdf file changes when I zoom in or zoom out.
I’m confused. Could you please give me some advice and the best approach ?
Target : a pdf file scale 1:1 of my staircase on my usb key for the printer shop
Thanks a lot for your help !

You need to know what paper sizes your print shop can handle. And it looks like you are wanting to print a banner - so you’ll need to coordinate with the and make sure that is feasible.

For the PDF I’ll would set it up in LayOut 1:1 with the page size being what you need overall.

Thanks a lot for your reply !
The plotter has a one-meter wide roll of paper. Yes, it is a kind of banner.
In the past, someone generated the pdf file of my sketchup drawing with autoCAD and the printing in the shop was successful.
The thing is I cannot select (I think) the good paper size when I export my drawing to layout. I only have these choices :

Go into document setup and make your own paper size…

Do you mean create our own paper size in layout configuration?
When I open layout (with no drawing) I only have access to “preferences” menu and there is no option for new size configuration ??.
When I open layout with a drawing, it has already the size selected in the mandatory menu (see picture in my preceding post)

Start a new document. Pick a template.
Go to File > Document Setup and make your own paper size.

Thanks.
I create a new layout file.
I define the size I want and the result is fine, thanks.

But I have an issue when I try to insert my drawing.
If I export it from sketchup and after I change the paper size in layout > It doesn’t work.
I tried copy paste but same result.
I confirm the size of my drawing is ok

(Just one issue : layout doesn’t accept to set size > 5000 mm but I can cut my drawing in two parts if it is necessary)
As you can see below when I try to copy paste from sketchup to layout it is very small

You need to insert the drawing then select the scale you wish it to be show at…
In LayOut go to File Insert and choose your model, the model will come is at a random scale. Select the model and go to the SketchUp pallet and set the scale to 1:1. You’ll then need to position the model to work with your paper size.

Be sure to have a scene setup in SketchUp that is top down view and in parallel projection. Save this scene with your model in view, then save the model. Insert the model and then choose the scene, and set the scale.

It might be useful to do some LayOut Tutorials:

And if scenes / etc. don’t make sense maybe do some basic SketchUp tutorials as well.
