Photo match breaks scene parameters

make a scene. it has scene parameters. here are mine.

add a photo using photomatch.

the new scene created by photomatch has all the parameters unticked.

meaning that switching back and forth between scenes and the photomatch will display all the visual parameters of the other scenes, not the photo. you have to manually tick all the choices again then update your scene.

Feature?
It didn’t break your original scene.
Forces you to setup how you want the photomatch to be handled within your context.

The rare times that I photo match I have 3-4 scenes based on it - 1 working, several for presentation.

Unless I am missing something.

not a feature for me, truly a bug / handicap.

it should retain the default scene parameter of the template.
I rarely open the scene panel, I do everything in the tabs. therefore, when I match a photo, I now have to reopen it just to fix that.

if I don’t, and since, like you, describe, I have a working scene + one or more photomatch scenes, if I switch from one to the other, I don’t see the photo anymore.

edit : to be clear, I feel it should simply respect the scene parameters. it should not tick / untick on its own.

Scenes created with Photo Match have always been made with the Properties to Save boxes unticked. I found it annoying from the first time I used it because when creating additional scenes you have to deal tick those boxes if you start from the Match scene. I’m not sure what the logic is for unticking the properties when creating that scene. I guess there was a logic when the code was written.

I agree that it shouldn’t change the properties for existing scenes. Existing scenes should not be wrecked by using Match Photo.
