Occasionally, but not always, when pasting a component or a copy from another model, the size will change. For example I just downloaded a model of an Arduino measuring approximately 4" x 2". I measured the entity in the model I downloaded before copying and pasting into my model. The dimensions had increased from 4 inches to 323 feet. Some components have increased from 6" to over 1700’.
Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas of what I might be doing wrong?
Most likely the component was scaled at some point but the definition was not scaled so it shows up at its original size when you paste it.
That’s an amazingly quick response, but the components that change size were created by me and never scaled. Any other ideas?
Share a SketchUp model with a component that does this.
Sorrty for the delay, there were some things on my Honey Do list that needed attending to. I hav3e found a componenmt that come in at a much larger size than it should, but I don’t know how to upload it.

Sorry for being obtuse, but the offending item is a component in my model. I can’t seem to drag it into a reply. Do you want the whoile skp file? and then I could just let you know which component is giving me problems?
In answer to my own question I tried dragging the skp model file, but it’s 43Mb, well above the 16Mb limit.
So upload it to DropBox or We Transfer and share the link.
