It looks like most of my files are gone from SketchUp for web. I had been modeling a kitchen project for a friend about 2 years ago, the files being generated in January of 2023. When I go into Trimble Connect, I see 2 folders. One empty folder called My SketchUp Models and then a folder containing a single file I made in May 2023. I can even remember the kitchen files were named “longer draft but on pc” and “framing” but the only file I have is Untitled. In the screenshot I’ve added, you can see the file had been saved, but it’s still nowhere to be found.
@colin is there anything else I can do to recover those files??
Can you check what region you are looking at? In this menu:
Also try going to Trimble Connect itself, here:
See if that shows more recent models.
I’m in the North American server, and I’ve got nothing in the others. Using that link, I still see the same things, the empty project and the May project unfortunately.
I see that you did a trial in May 2023. Is it possible you had created extra projects during the trial period?
I will see if there is a Trimble Connect admin who can look to see if your files are hidden somewhere.
I did! Though the projects I started in January should still be somewhere in the web version, shouldn’t they? If I remember correctly, I had been using the web app, really enjoyed the software, then gave the desktop version a try around May, which would’ve been the free trial. Unless it all had been moved when I had the trial? I’ve done the data version of dumping out my computer and searching with a fine tooth comb in hopes I had any of the files locally, which also had nothing unfortunately.
The free version has one project, the paid one as many as you like. I did think that if you had made other projects while under the trial you could still get to them after the trial, but maybe that’s not true.
I didn’t yet get a Trimble Connect admin involved. Will try again in the morning.
