Hello everyone, I am new to Sketchup and I need help with overlapping the orthophoto to digital terrain modell (DTM). Is it possible to load the both files so that they are automatically georeferenced? The second question is: is it possible to export a 3D model (orhophoto ovetlapped/ pasted to DTM) in .ifc format but without losing the orhophoto?
Best thing to do will be to try and import them and see how they land - SketchUp is not so geared up for georeferencing.
They will either look correct when you do it or they will require some degree of manual repositioning.
What format are the 2 3D files in?
You can export the geometry as IFC, but I think you’ll have to jump through some hoops to get it to encode any relevant location data back in.
