I just noticed that I can’t click and drag groups in Outliner. I tried setting up a new model and still can’t move groups. I get the green can’t do that symbol when I try.
Did I change some setting or is this a thing?
It was working fine before.
I wanted to move the Wall Gable group into the Walls FF group. I should be able to drag it.
It works fine for me. Where are you trying to drop the object?
Not object. Groups. But I can’t drag anything.
Groups and components are collectively known as objects.
Can you share a screen video capture like I did so we can see what happens when you try.
What version of SketchUp are you actually using? You put “new” in your forum profile but that doesn’t identify which version.
Sketchup Pro windows. Latest update.
What’s the graphics card? Please fix your forum profile with the correct information.
Share the SketchUp file so can see if it’s something specific to the file.
I have a Dell 7670 Precision laptop mobile workstation.
Not sure it would be the model because I tried a few new test models and the same thing.
Restarted the computer and logged out of Trimble.

I tried it on my Windows box and did not have a problem dragging the groups up or down.
No problem dragging objects into and out of the nested objects.
I can’t tell in your gif where you are trying to move the object to.
FWIW, I would suggest that you make groups for the rest of the roof geometry.

try moving at icon, to stop the entry into name
