Cutting Diagram is one of the most important features of OpenCutList. It’s important to us that this feature evolves with your needs. Therefore, we’re excited to make the promise to add nesting in the next release.
We will also take advantage of the complete rewriting of the algorithm to propose the calculation of the optimal cutting cost with several material sizes.
In response to a user, here is a demo of the implication of drilled parts where the hole could be used by the nesting algorithm to place smaller parts into it.
Financial Contributors are invited to play with a beta version. This beta gives us the perfect opportunity to add translations, fine-tune everything and squash any bugs before the official launch.
A public beta will probably follow in the coming weeks.
… Or maybe offer this money to Trimble so that they can reinforce the extension verification team so that it takes less than 3 weeks to be validated… ?
Please don’t try and bribe the extension team, they have enough on their plate without having to get embroiled in the reporting system of the compliance department
