Hi, We are exporting sketch up components through Open Cutlist into Vectric.
Mostly panels that have 5mm drill holes, grooves etc within the component
We tag the drill holes ‘5mm drill 12D’ or something similar as vectric will pick up the tag (layer) when we run a toolpath template calculation
So my question is, is it possible for those tags/layers named in sketchup to come through into the DXF, rather than the OCL named layers
Thanks - any help appreciated
Yes, that’s possible. First, you need to create the layers.
Then select the raw geometry of those holes (not a group or a component), and assign it to the desired layer.
edit
I believe this feature is currently only available in the Labs version.
Hello,
Caution that only “paths” (documentation) can use SketchUp custom tags.
Else, Vectric has a Circle detection option. So, it can select circle holes only from OpenCutList depth layers.
In addition, in the last DEV build, OpenCutList now export the cutting depth as DXF Z value. And Vectric know how to use it automatically.
