Old File Cannot Open

I cannot open a file created with sketchup pro 2020 with sketchup 2021 on my mac why is that?

You should be able to. Maybe share the .skp file so we can see what you are working with.

never mind. I couldn’t open it because it was on my flash drive but thanks for your help. this is what it looks like.
