# Ok why can't i use the dimensions measurements box?

I drew a rectangle and i want it to be precise at 50 in x 24 in. I read through the help and it says i should be able to enter the dimensions… any suggestions… i guess i’m doing something wrong.

Most likely you are clicking on the measurements box before typing your values. Don’t do that! Just click to set the start corner of the rectangle, move the mouse a bit, let go and type your values separated by a comma (or semi-colon if your locale uses comma for the decimal point) followed by the return/enter key.
