# Offsetting outwards from inner edges

Hi there.

I’m trying to offset outwards from an inner edge as shown here. Am I doing something wrong, or is this not something the native offset tool can do?

This video explains.

Thanks in advance for any help that can be afforded.

You’re want to offset the edges, so you need to select them.

If you can’t be bothered selecting the edges you can always put the face in.
